A Life That Protects Your Creativity
How I Juggle (and Enjoy) All the Things
Hey Party People,
Happy March! I love March for many reasons:
Spring is around the corner. Thank God, too, because this winter has been particularly miserable. May the storms finally be weathered!
March is my birthday month. Shout outs to Team Pisces!
There are more events and everything starts looking brighter and better. Cheers to hoping!
This March has a lot of exciting happenings:
I have a very special announcement headed your way in next week’s newsletter. If you were forwarded this email, make sure you:
March 18 at 6pm et | virtual | I am hosting a workshop for aspiring event planners and organizers that want to start their own supper club or event series. In this class, I’m opening up my entire playbook to help others define and build their own event series. This workshop is for you if:
You want to launch your own supper club, but don’t know where to start.
You’re a creative or entrepreneur who wants to host recurring gatherings.
You’re a community organizer hosting events, but struggle with budgets, ticketing, sponsorships, sustainability.
You’re an aspiring or early career event planner that wants insights from someone with 10 years of experience across industries.
Bonus: You just like creative people who are fun, and cool, and not afraid to be seen trying.
Now on to the topic of conversation here: a life that protects your creativity
With so many exciting things on my plate, I am always asked, “how do you juggle it all?” As an entrepreneur, I have always been more than one thing, so I have developed a good system for juggling over the years. This system was really tested when I added writing a book to my work mix. My five key pillars:
My days have themes.
My to-do’s have hours.
I guard my “best brain” times.
I have beloved tools that get me excited about working.
I have evening rituals that refuel me.
For paid subscribers: keep scrolling! I will unpack these five pillars in more detail and provide specific examples, so you can use them, too.
Cheers!
