Hosting a Productive Brunch

A vision board party alternative

Hey Party People,

I hope your new year is off to a great start!

As we are all dreaming, wishing, and hoping for a better new year, vision board party season is upon us. While I have nothing against vision boards, I would like to offer you an alternative: the mind map!

Mind mapping is an exercise I learned about from Elaine Welteroth on her Masterclass. The premise is simple: place your name at the center of a diagram and branch out each of your goals from macro to micro. I’ve used this mind map exercise for years now and I think it is a really actionable way to envision your life, specify your goals, and order your steps more deliberately toward those goals. And similar to vision boards, this activity can be done in an intimate group of accountability partners.
