Hey Party People!
How are you feeling? What are your plans for Valentine’s Day weekend? Anything fun or different? (And with President’s Day on Monday, I hope you have a warm and cozy long weekend ahead.)
Throughout the week, I’ve exchanged Valentine’s Day weekend plans with friends. Here are a few plans that were shared with me:
One friend is extra excited catching up on The Pitt. Season 2 is on HBO Max.
Another friend is headed to Swing dance class.
Another friend is going plate throwing with a group.
Another couple is each in charge of a surprise for each day.
Another friend is headed to a fancy dinner with her boo.
Another friend is headed to a fancy dinner with her self.
Another friend is headed to Levain for the Valentine’s special cookie.
Jordan and I are headed to see Goat an animated basketball film showing that “someone small can ball” (their slogan, not mine). Voice actors include Caleb McLaughlin (my favorite from Stranger Things), Aaron Pierre, and apparently Jelly Roll?? I’m very intrigued.
On the topic of Valentine’s Day, this week on Soirée School, I share how to make some super cute Valentine’s Day cards using plain paper and envelopes you probably already had at home. This is a fun way to DIY a greeting card or note and add whimsy, hand-drawn details to make it feel extra special. And if you really need supplies, you can find them here.
So if nothing else: craft, cuddle, be kind to each other.
Happy weekend!
